Welcome to AMC Woodfinishers – floor sanding experts in the Colchester and Suffolk areas. Our speciality is the sanding and finishing of your wooden floors to their original beauty.
In addition we offer a complete fitting service both in solid and engineered flooring. This can range from new and reclaimed floorboards through to traditional herringbone block flooring.
Established over 30 years ago we pride ourselves in the quality of our craftsmanship and the integrity of our craftsmen; coming from a traditional French polishing background we appreciate the beauty and complexity of wood and also offer a fully traditional French Polishing service. Sanding & Finishing
We use the very best Frank Viper belt sander machines for excellent finish and minimum dust and we constantly update our range as improved machines become available. All our hand held power tools are also connected to separate dust extractors to minimise dust.
Lacquer and Oil Finishes
We work with our clients to choose the most appropriate and sympathetic finish for their floor and can advise as to the benefits of each finishing product. Our contemporary commercial based lacquers offer an outstanding and hard wearing finish in a range of lustres from ultra matt to gloss. Our oiled finishes range from matt to satin and can come in a range of tinted colours.
Floor Fitting - Solid, Engineered and Parquet
We offer a bespoke wood floor laying service using only the best quality flooring from reputable, sustainable sources.
